El presidente de Ucrania, Volodímir Zelenski, ha asegurado este jueves que durante la guerra más de mil 300 prisioneros ucranianos han sido liberados por los rusos.
El mandatario ucraniano ha anunciado dicha cifra durante su habitual discurso nocturno al referirse a la liberación de otros 50 militares apresados por Rusia.
Se trata de cuatro oficiales y 46 sargentos y soldados rasos del Ejército, defensa territorial, guardias nacionales, Armada y guardias fronterizos, ha detallado Zelenski.
«En total, desde el 24 de febrero, más de mil 300 ucranianos ya han sido devueltos del cautiverio ruso. ¡Traeremos al resto! Toda Ucrania será libre. Todos los ucranianos estarán en casa», ha dicho el presidente de Ucrania.
Rusia y Ucrania intercambiaron este jueves 50 prisioneros de guerra de cada bando, según informaron respectivamente el Ministerio de Defensa ruso y la Oficina Presidencial ucraniana.
«Como resultado del proceso de negociación, 50 militares rusos que corrían el peligro de morir en cautiverio fueron devueltos del territorio controlado por Kiev», señaló del departamento dirigido por Serguéi Shoigú.
